VISION:
To be the largest and most professional, effective, efficient and respected landbased Association of recruitment agencies recognized by the Philippine government and by the governments of the host countries of our OCWs, recognized by International Organizations, national and foreign associations, business groups, media, religious and NGOs that extend welfare and protection to our Filipino Overseas Contract Workers (OCWs) and to be a provider of business opportunities and source of protection for its members, while looking forward to the day when our industry becomes self-regulating that adheres to the highest standards of ethical business practices.
MISSION:
To enhance the relationship between the OCWs and their families vis a vis the general purposes of the organization and the specific goals of its members within the environment and context of the Overseas Employment Industry while promoting best practices in Labor Migration.
GOAL:
- To build the reputation of the association to a level where it will acquire recognition in both government and private sector to a degree that it participates or is always consulted in whatever matter that involves the overseas recruitment and placement industry;
- To make proper representation with the government of the Philippines, or any of its subsidiaries, agencies, branches or any instrumentality thereof; or with international bodies or organizations in order to ensure the proper and due enforcement, modification or alteration of laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and presentation of its advocacies concerning labor migration or otherwise which generally affect the overseas recruitment and placement industry;
- To uplift the working standards and conditions of Filipino OCWs and to aid our Filipino workers in their plight against harsh, abusive and exploitative manners and treatment committed by some foreign employers;
- To aid the government in its domestic manpower needs through skills training or replenishment with the end in view of promoting the reputation of Filipino workers abroad as world class professional workers to consequently benefit the overseas recruitment and placement industry;
- To improve the relationship between the OCWs and their families by providing training and skills upgrading for the workers while extending livelihood/entrepreneurial opportunities to families of the OCWs and implementing reintegration programs for returning Filipino OCWs;
- To establish and maintain closer harmonious relationship among the members of the association.
- To encourage constructive and healthy competition among its members through the formulation, adoption and enforcement of appropriate Code of Ethics, rules and procedures governing its activities and to keep its members updated on the development in the Overseas Employment Industry and global migration,
- To generate funds by means of contributions, donations, solicitations, benefit shows, assessments, dues, entrepreneurial endeavors and by all other lawful ways to support the activities and projects which the association shall undertake in order to realize its objectives;
- Generally, to undertake projects imbued with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and such other acts and deeds, not contrary to law, that will serve the best interests of the members and/or the association and its stakeholders.
